Who We Are:
The First Congregational Church of Redlands is a group of covenanted people, gathered around the lordship of Christ. We are a free and independent church, true to the scriptures in the Congregational tradition. We strive to better ourselves, our lives, and the world around us through the word of God and the teachings of his son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our Mission is to spread the joy and love of Christ, and to strive to follow the will of God as taught by the scripture, that we may walk in the ways of the Lord, known and to be made known to us.
The First Congregational Church of Redlands was formed in 1882 when the co-founders of the city of Redlands, Mr. Edward G. Judson and Mr. F.E. Brown, donated land for the first site of our church located on Church St. and Terrace Ave. By 1889, our church’s congregation had grown too large for the original site, so moved to our current location on the corner of Olive Ave. and Cajon Ave. For more information about the history of our church, from the beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows to our wonderful Organ click below.
