Annual Lenten Organ Recital Series
Begins Thu, Feb 15th 11:30a-12p


Join us as we look forward to seven organists giving Lenten organ recitals starting Feb. 15th! Dr. Ed Yarnelle will lead off the seven weeks on Feb. 15, followed by Dr. Stephen Moore on Feb. 22. The five March dates begin with Kristen Cameron on March 1; Sally Rehfeldt on March 8, Philip Hoch on March 15, the duo of Jeffrey Rickard and Irmengard Jennings on March 22, and Dr. Kimo Smith on March 29. Come out and join us each week in Lent!

Men's Pancake Breakfast
Feb 13th 6:30a - 7:30a, Kimberly Hall


Come celebrate Fat Tuesday on Feb 13th with a Men’s Pancake Breakfast at 6:30a. Pastor Jon MacDonald from Restoration Covenant Church will be our guest speaker, and he will be leading us in a conversation about what happens when men get together to pray. As part of our Lenten series, First Congregational Church is inviting our congregation to deepen our relationship with God by developing a rich and joyous prayer life. Remembering Peggy Hartzell, Feb 17th 10:00a
We will be having a service in memory of Peggy Hartzell on Saturday, Feb 17th at 10am. ​All are cordially invited to the reception in Kimberly Hall, immediately following the Service. Peggy's family is hoping many will share their stories and memories of Peggy, during the reception. Please come and join us as we remember her.
 
Receiving Ashes on Wednesday Feb 14th
Join us at Ed Hales Park, Downtown Redlands on State St and 5th, on Ash Wednesday, February 14th between 11:30a - 1:30p. First Congregational Church of Redlands and other Christian churches in our community will be offering ashes and prayer to anyone who would like to come and receive them. Come and be given a blessing at the start of the Lenten season!

The 2018 Flower Calendar is now up in the church office. If you would like to sign up for a specific date, please write your name on the calendar, or you may call the office at (909) 793-3157 to select a date. Thank you for your generous support!

Women's Book Club March 11
The women’s book club is reading the classic, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis for its next meeting on March 11th at 11:15a in the church library. There are a couple of extra copies – see us at the Welcome/Information table after second service if you would like one.
 
Cooking for Youth Hope
​We are starting a new group who can cook dinners for Youth Hope 3 times per year (April, August, December), on the 4th Monday of those months. The group begins this April. Please contact Lisa Soria if you wish to be a part of this special ministry! We need 3 - 5 people to form this group. Gather some friends or come on your own and make new ones!
